India Khelo Football enters Leg 2 of Mumbai phase

Leg 1 of Mumbai phase was held in Mulund, where Ambitious FC came out as winners, the second leg of Mumbai phase will be played out in Kurla

India Khelo Football initiative aims to get kids on field to play football in a competitive environment with the core idea of offering opportunities, spotting the talents and providing them the right platform to excel.

The first leg of India Khelo Football kicked off with a total of 16 teams taking part. Ambitious FA fielded two teams in the first leg with both reaching the finals where the Ambitious B edged their counterpart 5-4 to book their place for the Final round to be played out in August.

The second leg of Mumbai phase will be played out in Kurla (BKC) this Sunday with 16 teams battling out to be the winner once again. After the three phases in Mumbai, India Khelo Tournament will then move to seven more districts of Maharashtra. Kolhapur, Pune, Nagpur, Gondia, Nashik, Thane, and Palghar are the 8 selected districts.

The tournament provides boys under the age of 14 to earn that platform to become next big thing in Football. At the end of the second leg, special awards have been kept for Winners, Top scorer, Top Goal Keeper and Best Player.

India Khelo Football will hold 8 more such events across Maharashtra. These city winners will play against each other on 15th Aug in Mumbai and book themselves all an expenses paid Trials to Europe.

Venue for the second leg: Super Sports Park, Equinox Business Park, Ground Floor, Old Swan Mill Compound, Off LBS Marg, Kurla.
