Sportobuddy Club Championship to kick off its Inaugural Edition on 18th January, 2020

The first season of Sportobuddy Club Championship commences on 18^th January, 2020 at Podar Sports Academy, Santacruz (West). The revolutionary playing format is conceptualized by Sportobuddy in association with Play Equal Sports. The tournament will commence on 18^th January and the finals will take place on 29^th February.

SCC is a dual format multi league tournament where team’s representing the major European Clubs competes against their arch-rivals. The tournament has two playing categories: Men & Women.

The two playing formats are 5v5 and 8v8 which puts a player’s skill set to variety of tests. To add to the competitiveness of the League, Bonus Points will be awarded to teams for Clean Sheets and Goals Scored.

The league is open to Professionals as well as Amateurs as Sportobuddy and Play Equal Sports believe in providing Equal Opportunities to all players irrespective of Gender.

The League has 12 teams in Men Category and 6 teams in Women Category with a total of 234 players picked through a draft process. A manager has the right to select three players of his choice before the draft process begins.

The League will have Live Scoring and Statistics of every match on Sportobuddy official Website.

About the concept of the League, Mr. Vishal Shah, Tournament Director of SCC said, “We are looking forward to building a strong Football Culture in the City, wherein Sportobuddy Club Championship provides a chance to fans of European clubs to represent their favourite clubs, thus amalgamating both facets of European and Mumbai football.”
