India U19 squad for Granatkin Memorial Tournament announced

The India U-19 National Team will travel to Russia in the first week of June to take part in the forthcoming Granatkin Memorial International Football Tournament in St. Petersberg.

The 18 member India U-19 National Team will travel to Russia for the forthcoming Granatkin Memorial International Football Tournament

The 11 day tournament will begin from June 4 and will involve total of 12 National U-18 teams from three different confederations namely AFC, CONMEBOL and UEFA.

The teams are further divided in three different groups, where Group A have Bulgaria, India, Moldova and host Russia, Group B have Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Greece and Group C have Argentina, Iran, Armenia and second team of host Russia as Russia 2

India Begin their campaign on June 4 against host Russia, followed by a game against Moldova 2 days later on June 6. The final group game will be on June 9th after which the group leaders along with one 2nd best team will enter semi-finals. The remaining teams will play for 5-8 places

18-member India U19 squad for Granatkin Memorial Tournament are as follows:

Goalkeepers: Prabhsukhan Gill, Niraj Kumar.

Defenders: Muhammed Rafi, Jitendra Singh, Akash Mishra, Sumit Rathi, Shabas Ahammed

Midfielders: Sanjeev Stalin, Givson Singh, Ninthoinganba Meetei, Lalchhanhima Sailo, Vikram Partap Singh, Ricky John Shabong, Jeakson Singh, Robin Yadav, Mohd. Basith Parathodi.

Forwards: Harmanpreet Singh, Rohit Danu.
