Ashrafalli nets 2 in Kenkre FC’s victory

Mumbai: Striker Ashrafalli Makandar scored once in each to steer Kenkre FC to a fluent 2-0 win against a young Iron Born – CFCI in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Friday.

Two goals in the dying minutes of either half gave Kenkre FC a comfortable 2-0 win. Makandar broke the deadlock with the opening goal in the 44^th minute before doubling the lead and completing his brace in the 85^th minute to complete Kenkre’s victory.

Earlier, opportunistic goal-scorer Sanket Humbe scored all the four goals as Feugo Tormento blanked Bharat FC 4-0 in a Second Division match played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.

Kenkre FC (Ashrafali Makandar 44′, 85′) 2 – 0 Iron Born CFCI

Second Div:

Feugo Tormento (Sanket Humbe 38′, 56′, 59′, 64′) 4 – 0 Bharat FC

Sara FA (Rohit Vadvalkar 62′) 1 – 0 Sanpada FC

Veera United (Kunal Pagare 45′, 68′, Ganesh Salkar 55′) 3 – 1 Sahar Silver Star (Hassan Abbas Sayed 11′)
