Rumours: Juventus planning to sign Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal suffered a defeat against Uruguay last night, which ended his World Cup hopes.

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned back home after a clinical Edinson Cavani inspired Uruguay got the better of Portugal. Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t reveal what his future plans with the national team are. He refused to tell whether he would resign from his national duty.

Similarly, his club football career is also in uncertainty. The Portuguese skipper hinted his time at Real Madrid was over, and numerous clubs have lined-up to secure the signature of this living legend.

With Manchester United and Paris Sent Germain front-runners to sign him, reports in Tuttosport suggest Juventus are planning to make a bid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo endured a tough start to his campaign at Real Madrid but turned when it mattered the most as he ran riots since the turn of 2018. He inspired Real Madrid on their way to the UEFA Champions League and registered 15 goals in the tournament.

Julen Lopetegui has replaced Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid and he and Florentino Perez are planning to overhaul their squad ahead of the next season. Reports across Europe have reported Real Madrid are preparing to offload their biggest star and planning to lure the services of some of the best youngsters. It was reported that Real Madrid reduced Cristiano Ronaldo’s release clause to €120m.

Juventus would afford and could pay €120m for Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite the Portuguese talisman being 33, he has not shown any signs of a decline. If they manage bring Ronaldo in, they would be able to become a strong contender for UEFA Champions League, a trophy that has eluded them in the recent years.
