KSA ADV Kudrolli football Cup: Ameya Bhatkal nets late winner for Karnatak SC

Karnatak

Karnatak Sports Club struck at the death to snatch a hard-fought 1-0 win against a determined Udaya Sports Club in a thrilling and well-contested quarter-final encounter of the Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) organised 12th Late Adv. A.R. Kudrolli Memorial knockout football tournament 2018 and played at the KSA ground, Cross Maidan.

Both Karnatak SC and Udaya SC played their hearts out and tried their best to gain the upper hand. But there was not much to differentiate between the two teams and just when it seemed that the game was heading for the tie-breaker Karnatak SC managed to find the target in the final minute. Striker Ameya Bhatkal capitalized on a half chance and did well to shoot home the decisive winner which carried Kanratak SC to victory and a place in the semi-finals.

In the second quarter-final match of the day, Kanara Bros SC blanked Union SC 2-0 with Akash Rathod and Sheldon Menezes scoring a goal each for the winning side.

Results (quarter-finals): Kanara Bros SC 2 (Akash Rathod 1, Sheldon Menezes 1) beat Union SC 0.
