Cerner A lifts Inaugural edition of Optimum Nutrition Corporate Masters Cup 2018 Bengaluru Leg

15th December witnessed the first installment of ‘Corporate Masters Cup Bengaluru 2018’, organized by TurfsnMeals, which witnessed some of the best corporate teams from Bengaluru fighting for the bragging rights.
Held at Astro Arena, Marathalli Bengaluru, Cerner A edged passed Oracle A by 1-0 in a closely fought contest to lift the Corporate Masters Cup 2018 Gold Category, while the HDFC Bank side turned out the Winners of ‘Silver Category’ beating MU Sigma in Penalties. The Third and Final category of the tournament ‘The Bronze Cup’ was won by Infosys beating Ocwen in Penalties.
Gold Category:
Teams Oracle A, Accenture, Cerner and Oracle B were the Semi Finalist of the Gold Cup. Riding on brilliant performances throughout the day, Team ‘Cerner A’ reached the finals of the 1st edition of Corporate Masters Cup 2018 where they faced an equally consistent side in Oracle A. In a closely contested final, both teams displayed some competitive football but Team Cerner edged past Team Oracle, which can easily be termed as the match of the tournament to lift the Gold Cup. The Winner and Runners up team of Gold Category also won Cash prize of 20K and 10K Respectively.
Silver Category:
Team ABB, HDFC bank, ANZ and MU Sigma were the Semi Finalists of Silver Cup. After a stuttering start of a loss in their very first game of the day, HDFC Bank came out with some scintillating performance to reach the finals where they faced an equally consistent side in MU Sigma. In a closely contested final, both teams displayed end to end football but failed to come out with a win as the game were tied to Nil all at full time. In Penalty Shootout, HDFC bank beat MU Sigma 3 – 2 to lift the Silver Cup Corporate Masters Cup 2018
Bronze Category:
Team Juniper Networks, Ernst & Young, Ocwen and Infosys were the Semi Finalists of Bronze Cup 2018. Football can be sometimes cruel and Team Ocwen were the ones to experience it on Saturday as their amazing run to final came to a disappointing end, with a loss to Team Infosys in penalty shootout. Team Infosys played some exceptional football throughout the tournament and deservingly lifted the Corporate
As per most of participating teams, this was one of the best corporate tournaments they had played in recent times in Bengaluru and are looking forward to participating in more such tournaments organized by TurfsnMeals in future.
