Sparks FC, Kenkre FC romp to easy victories

Mumbai, April 23: Sparks FC and Kenkre FC, both scored easy wins against Mumbai Warriors and Milan FA respectively in the MDFA Women’s League 2017 and played at the Karnatak SA ground, Cross Maidan.

Riding on striker Valany Fernandes’ brace of goals, Sparks FC romped to a 4-0 win against Warriors. Meenakshi Bhagat and Shemchui Ningshen got the other two goals for the winning side.

In the other match, Renuka Juvekar, Renee Talati and Aarti Rawat netted a goal each to secure Kenkre’s win over Milan FA.

Meanwhile, Football Club of Mumbaikars played truant as they did not report from their concluding league match against Football Leaders Academy.
