South Mumbai United, Twinkle Star & BARC register wins as Liyakat FC & Veer Engineering settle for a draw

MDFA: 3rd Division Round-up of 31-03-2017 at MSSA Ground

MSSA, Mumbai: South Mumbai United, Twinkle Star and B.A.R.C. register wins as Liyakat FC and Veer Engineering settle for a draw in the 3^rd Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) matches held at MSSA ground on 31^st March 2017.

3^rd Division – Group E

South Mumbai United 3-0 Kasturba FC

South Mumbai United got off to a terrific start in the game as they scored three quick-fire goals in the first half blowing away Kasturba FC. Arham Patel scored a brace as the first goal came in the 10^th minute and another in the 16^th minute. Billal Khan soon scored the third in the 18^th minute which was enough to give South Mumbai United the win.

3^rd Division – Group E

IFC 1-0 B.A.R.C.

B.A.R.C. edged past IFC with smallest of margins as they scored the only goal of the game in the 50^th minute through Chatton Oran. IFC tried to stage a comeback or were at least trying to level things up but were stopped in their tracks by a strong opposition defence.

3^rd Division – Group C

Twinkle Star 2-0 SS Chincholi

The first half of the game never really got on as both teams were trying to test each other out and did not get any success. In the second half, Twinkle Star came out spitting fire as they scored two quick goals in the 40^th and 45^th minute which was enough to give them the win.

3^rd Division – Group F

Liyakat FC 1-1 Veer Engineering

Veer Engineering got off to the best of starts as Saurabh Gaud scored in the 1^st minute itself as Liyakat FC were caught out. Liyakat equalised later in the first half as Faizan Shaikh scored on the 22nd-minute mark. The game ended 1-1 giving the teams a point each.
