MDFA: 3rd Division Round-up of 30-03-2017 at MSSA Ground

Mumbai: Fire Dragon beat Naval Dockyard in the 2nd Division as Mumbai Warrior ‘B’ edge Sirf Keval in a thriller while Castle Boys thump Mumbai United in the 3rd Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) matches held on 30th March, 2017.

2nd Division – Group H

Fire Dragon 1-0 Naval Dockyard

This game was more of a late bloomer as most of the chances came late on in the game and so did the goal as Fire Dragon took the lead through Nihar in the 61st minute. As the game edged closer to the full time Naval Dockyard had one last chance to level it but the ball just whistled past the pole and the game ended 1-0 to Fire Dragon.

3rd Division – Group F

Castle Boys 5-0 Mumbai United

Castle Boys were on a rampage as they scored five past Mumbai United. Maxie scored the first on 18th minute and then it was the Tanishq show as he scored a nine-minute hat-trick. Calvin completed the scoring as he scored the fifth on the 40-minute mark,

3rd Division – Group H

Mumbai Warrior ‘B’ 3-2 Sirf Keval

Warrior’s Ivan Reddy opened the scoring on the 18th minute and he quickly followed it up with another in the next minute making 2-0 to the Mumbai Warrior. Sirf Keval halved the deficit in the 32nd minute through Mehul Dhotre but soon conceded another as Leander Gonsalves scored for the opposition. Sirf Keval made it 3-2 but could not complete the back as Mumbai Warrior ‘B’ edged this one.
