Steadfast FC to meet Mumbai FC in U-16 Y-League

Steadfast FC

Steadfast FC – Mumbai Rush SC is set to host Mumbai FC at All Saints High School, Kalyan in Under-16 Youth League (Maharashtra Zone) Group B match on Sunday afternoon. The host is heading towards the match following a 0-0 stalemate against PIFA Colaba last week, whereas, an energetic Mumbai FC suffered a 5-3 loss at the hands of DSK Shivajians after displaying a respectable performance.

In the corresponding fixture on 23rd October, Steadfast FC ran out as winners after a 1-0 win over the Yellow Submarines at Cooperage Stadium. Tyson Jude Patel scored the winner in the 58th minute to seal an important away victory. Steadfast FC is currently in the third position with five points in four games, whereas, Mumbai FC is one place up at the second position with six points in four games.

Steadfast FC’s Captain Jonathan D’Souza, Midfielder Cornelius Rodrigues, Tyson Jude Patel and Abel Fernandes can cause serious trouble to Mumbai FC’s backline. But the Yellow Submarines also had quality players at their disposal.

Mumbai FC’s duo Jahan Waliya and Captain Nikhil Prabhu are one of the strongest defensive pairs in Group B. Both had a fantastic game against DSK Shivajians in the previous match. Apart from the duo, Striker Kamran Ansari is also in fine touch who netted a brilliant hat-trick last Saturday.

The match is surely expected to go down the wire as both the sides are looking forward to keeping the pressure on DSK Shivajians who is currently at the top of the table.
