Madanpura SC holds Soccer A to Z 1-1 in First Division clash

On 2nd November 2016, MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) First Division clash between Madanpura SC and Soccer A to Z ended in a 1-1 stalemate at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel in a highly intense match.

Madanpura came into the match with a heavy 7-0 defeat at the hands of Atlanta FC on 19th September 2016. Following Atlanta’s match, Madanpura SC got a walkover as Bad Boys failed to turn up.

Whereas, Soccer A to Z also suffered loss, not once but twice, when they went down 2-0 against Carmelites FC and 4-1 against Franco S.C. on 21st September 2016 and 10th October 2016. Though last week, Soccer A to Z earned a respectable draw when they hold Bad Boys 3-3 where Sahid Muhammad netted a brace.

Tej Bohra scored for Madanpura SC with a brilliant goal, whereas, Shubham Patekar registered the lone goal for Soccer A to Z. Both the teams had their chances but couldn’t capitalize which resulted in a stalemate.

Madanpura dominated the second-half as they created a number of chances but their poor finishing in front of the goal cost them two vital points. Whereas, Soccer A to Z defended well and had an organized backline to stop Madanpura’s distribution.

In the end, both the teams had to settle for a point.
