Day 2 Of IFS-League of Champions by Young Footballers

20th November 2016, Cooperage: In association with IFS, Young FootballersIFS-League of Champions (LOC) 2016 continued from where they had left at Andheri. However, this day the matches were held at 2 venues, the additional one being Cooperage Stadium, Colaba. The first day of the league left a myriad of lingering emotions as parents cheered for their kids, as spectators hauled over the goals scored or even for the ones that were missed, the enthusiasm of the coaches and the passion of the kids participated in the matches, the potential stars of tomorrow. The second day of the league successfully emulated the first day with a number of nail-biting matches being played. Here is the Round-up of IFS-League of Champions (LOC), 20th November 2016:

Under 8

In the first match of U-8 category, Indian Football School defeated Sri Ma Gurukul Team B 2-0 to ran out as winners after delivering a perfect performance. Havi and Nayo were the scorers as they notched up one goal apiece.

The second match of the day at Cooperage saw Football World and Sri Ma Gurukul Team A locked horns with each other. Siddhant scored for Football World, whereas, Neeraj scored the equaliser for Sri Ma Gurukul Team A.

Under 10

In the opening game of Under-10 category, Don Bosco Team B displayed an amazing attacking display to emerge as 9-0 winners against Sri Ma Gurukul Team B at Cooperage. Pruthvi was on fine form as he scored five goals, whereas, Smith, Swayam, Ishaan, and Om got one each for Don Bosco B.

In the second big game of Under-10 category, Golar Indian Football Academy registered a mammoth 7-0 victory against Sri Ma Gurukul Team B at Cooperage. Ishaan scored a fine hat-trick, whereas, Rajaansh, Yohan, Aarav, and Dhairya notched up one each.

Other Results: Indian Football School (Yash) 1-1 Sri Ma Gurukul Team B (Asar), Don Bosco Team A 4-2 Golar Indian Football Academy, Football World 0-1 Indian Football School, and Don Bosco Team B 0-2 Football World (Roldan and Royden).

Under 12

Kooh Sports met Almighty FC in a close encounter at Cooperage. A goal each from Ranvir, Meet, and Viraj scored one each for Kooh Sports as they registered a narrow 3-2 victory over Almighty FC. Shriraj and Aryan scored for Almighty FC which turned out too late too little for their side.

In the second game, Don Bosco registered an incredible 12-1 victory against Sri Ma Gurukul Team B to record a memorable win. Harsh went on to score four goals, Scotte notched up a fine hat-trick, Vignesh scored twice, whereas, Vedan, Zash, and Zaraysh scored one each to complete a resounding victory.

Other Results: Almighty 3-0 Golar Indian Football Academy, Sri Ma Gurukul Team A 6-1 Sitaram Mill Compound, Sitaram Mill Compound 1-3 Kooh Sports, and Sri Ma Gurukul Team A (Arandeep and Ranjit) 2-0 Sri Ma Gurukul Team B.

Under 14-B:

Sourav’s hat-trick, Siddesh’s twin strikes, and a fantastic goal by Dipesh gave Almighty FC a huge 8-0 victory against Sri Ma Gurukul Team A at Cooperage in the Under 14-B category.

Other Results: Sri Ma Gurukul Team A 0-4 Kings United and Sri Ma Gurukul Team B 0-0 Aditya Birla World Academy.
