Vibgyor HS in seventh heaven after shooting down Indian Airlines

Vibgyor High School, Goregaon advanced to the next round of the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) U-16 4th Division knock-out cup after recording a thumping 7-0 win over Indian Airlines on Tuesday, 1st September 2015 at the MSSA ground in Mumbai.

After a fairly even start, Vibgyor found their feet around the ten minute mark and soon found themselves in front in the 14th minute when Aditya Arora broke the deadlock with a well taken goal to put his team into the lead.

The goal spurred Vibgyor as the Goregaon outfit soon found themselves 2-0 up thanks to Spandan Asthana’s cool finish just three minutes later.

The Indian Airlines rearguard were feeling the heat as the Vibgyor frontline put them under extreme pressure just few minutes before the interval. Indian Airlines survived the onslaught and managed to keep the score at 2-0.

But just four minutes into the second half, Indian Airlines conceded a third goal this time from the boots of Snayam Kumaran who put an end to any chances of an Indian Airlines recovery.

Indian Airlines pulled the game back to a certain extent after going 3-0 down and just when one thought they had weathered the storm, substitute Ayush Mohite added to the already healthy advantage for Vibgyor and made it 4-0 in the 33rd minute.

The fourth goal opened the floodgates as Indian Airlines went onto ship more three goals in the space of the next four minutes. Meet Shah netted the 5th goal in the 34th minute before Aditya Arora completed his brace in the 36th minute to make it 6-0.

The last and the final goal of the afternoon was scored by Aryaman Gokarn who capped off a perfect afternoon for the boys from Goregaon.

Vibgyor were in seventh heaven after the win and booked a place in the next round of the knock-out cup of the 4th Division of U-16 Boys category in the MSSA league.
