Poinsur Gymkhana maul sorry Fan Club Association

Poinsur Gymkhana were in rampant mood when the scored a 7-0 win over Fan Club of Association in the 3rd division match of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on 1st May 2015.

It was a one sided game which was dominated by Poinsur Gymkhana and Fan club of Association hardly got a chance to get on top in the game.

Fan club of Association could have opened the scoring with a free kick in 7th minute but Poinsur Gymkhana’s Abhishek Dubey blocked Vicky Meher’s shot with his head.

Poinsur Gymkhana’s Ronson Lewis opened the scoring in brilliant fashion as he received a pass from left wing and goalkeeper failed to make a save to give Poinsur Gymkhana the lead.

4 minutes later Poinsur Gymkhana’s Ishaan Doshi doubled the lead when made a good run at the heart of the FCA defence to slot home Poinsur’s second.

Poinsur Gymkhana got plenty of chances in first half and successfully converted the chances into goals and on the other hand Fan Club of Association got chance out of free and corner kick but they did not take it.

Ronson Lewis in 19th minute scored another goal when he headed the pass on target received from Harsh Valia. Poinsur Gymkhana were ahead and leading by 3-0.

In the 1st half Poinsur Gymkhana nearly scored even though the FCA defenders were active.

It was an action packed Second half as four goals were bagged in 15 minutes.

Ronson Lewis scored his third goal in 26th minute. He received a pass from left wing and he tapped it in the right corner to make it 4-0 to the north Mumbai side.

In 25th minute there was a substitution where Dhrunil Kakkad was substituted by Rushabh Gada.

2 minutes later the duo of Harshal Shah and Vicky Shah created a goal when Harshal Shah’s Volley smashed the goalpost and made a road into the goal.

In the 30th minute Vicky Shah shot from 6 yards and it rebounded touching goalkeeper and Somesh Tavade’s swiftly snatched the loose ball to shoot straight on target and make it 6-0

Rushabh Gada showed his presence after his substitution when he scored the final goal in 39th minute as he was assisted by Ronson Lewis.

The final results were Poinsur Gymkhana 7-0 triumph. Fan club of Association at a point almost gave up and failed to defend. Their defense could have proved tough for Poinsur Gymkhana.

The real performer in the game was Ronson Lewis who alone Bagged 3 goals. In the earlier match Poinsur Gymkhana had defeated Kajupada F.C by 4-2.
