Sanjoy Sen ready for unpredictable Mumbai FC

Mohun Bagan will face Mumbai FC at Cooperage in the second of their series of away games on Saturday, 2nd May 2015. Mohun Bagan are sitting pretty at the top with a three point lead over Champions Bengaluru FC having played a game less.

Sanjoy Sen who brings his side to Mumbai will settle for nothing less than all three points against Mumbai FC with the championship firmly in sight. “When you are chasing a championship, it doesn’t matter whether you play home or away. You must win irrespective of that and we are aiming for three points tomorrow”.

The Mohun Bagan gaffer was wary of Mumbai FC’s unpredictability and feels his side should be ready to face a tough encounter. “Mumbai FC are a very unpredictable team. You don’t know what to expect from them and that makes them dangerous. We know it’s tough playing against Mumbai FC in Mumbai and hence we are ready for a tough game”.

Sanjoy Sen had good words to say for his opposite number Khalid Jamil and feels Jamil’s long duration as a Mumbai coach has helped him understand his players well. “I think their coach has done a good job here. He has been the coach ever since Mumbai FC started playing in the I-League and that has helped him know the players well and get the best out of them”.

With over two hundred travelling fans expected at Cooperage tomorrow, Sanjoy Sen expressed his delight about the support his side receive whenever they play. “It is always nice to have your fans support you. We are used to having our fans whenever we play in Mumbai and also in our last game we had lot of supporters who came to support us in Pune. So it always helps”.

Boya Pierre who accompanied coach Sanjoy Sen at the press conference stressed on focusing their natural game and not allow Mumbai FC to dictate play. “We have to play our game. We trust our style of play and we must keep the ball on the ground. They have some very strong and tall players and if we play like them, we will have problems, so we must stick to our style”.

Mohun Bagan still need to win four out of their six games to be guaranteed of being Champions at the end of the season and with a tough looking clash against Bengaluru FC on the final day of the league Mohun bagan will be looking to wrap up the title before that game.
