Kritika Chhabra’s hat-trick helps Arya Vidya Mandir crush Bombay International

Smt. R.S.B Arya Vidya Mandir rode on Kritika Chhabra’s fine hat-trick to thrash Bombay International 3-0 in the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) U-16 Girls 1st Division encounter held at the MSSA Ground in Fort on Thursday, 10 September 2015.

AVM were right on top of Bombay International from the very first minute of the game and pushed them deep into their own half. Bombay International did well to resist the early pressure and just when we thought Bombay International had weathered the early storm, Kritika Chhabra struck for AVM and fired them into a tenth minute lead.

Bombay International were xpected to crack under the growing pressure and concede further against a strong AVM side, but the Bombay International girls did well to hold firm and go into the break just a goal behind their rivals.

The second half had a similar pattern to it as AVM continued to dominate proceedings, but the Bombay International side managed to frustrate them and made AVM miss some good opportunities at the start of the second half.

Eventually AVM were able to double their lead when Kritika Chhabra got her second of the night as AVM look set to grab all three points with just four minutes left to play.

But things got better for Kritika Chhabra and her side when she completed her hat-trick in the 29th minute and make it 3-0 in AVM’s favour.

AVM ran out comfortable winners in the end, all thanks to Kritika Chhabra’s immaculate instincts in front of goal which proved to be the difference for AVM in the end.
