Football Counter POTM: Vinayan Satpal, St. Francis D’ Assisi

Vinayan Satpal the football counter match of the day, has represented his school St. Francis D’Assis for 7 years with this being the last year and he will be bidding farewell to his School being satisfied of being a part of a team which fought Don Bosco in the Semifinals and notched a place after beating St. Lawrence for the 3rd Place Clash.

Vinayan was hardworking on the field from the first whistle. It seemed that he would have scored in the first half as he controlled the ball with ease and displayed dribbling skills.

In the Second half, Vinayan and his side came in stronger with no resistance from St. Lawrence. His through ball found Kevin Shah in the 32nd minute an awesome assistance which went in for a Goal.

Talking about the Midfielder Coach, Thomas Barretto said, “Vinayan goes all out for win, does not care for individual glory and is an asset for a team.”

The 15 year old was hardworking on the field and even a goal lead didn’t satisfy him. Though he failed to score by the end of regulation time but his performance, put pressure on the St. Lawrence team which were unable to fightback after the first goal and soon suffered another goal in the 45th minute with his teammate Daksh Shah netting the goal.

Vinayan coming from a humble background has a lot of potential and has a bright future ahead… Football Counter wishes him all the best for future.
