Two late goals help St Francis D’Assisi secure 3rd place in MSSA U-16 Boys

St Francis D’Assis defeated St Lawrence ‘Kandivali’ 2-0, after D’Assisi’s Kevin and Daksh Shah scored 2 goals in the second half in the MSSA, U-16 Boys 1st Division to secure 3rd Place in the match held at MSSA grounds on 17th August.

In the first half, St. Francis D’Assisi and St. Lawrence both were toe to toe and match could have gone either way.

Within minutes of the second half, Kevin Shah scored as his strike caught the St.Lawrence goalkeeperin flstfooted as he latched on to the ball, he recieved from midfielder Vinayan Satpal for the goal.

D’Assisi’s game improved after the First goal and they became even more confident in their passes and soon came the second goal in the 45 minute as the late Substitute, Daksh Shah’s back heel found the goal as the keeper failed to collect the easy ball and hence 2-0.

Krish Adhikari of St. Lawrence tried his best to score for his side but all in vain as the match ended with St. Francis D’Assisi suffered a defeat to St. Lawrence 2-0.

Coach Thomas Bauretto of St. Francis D’Assisi was satisfied with his teams performance in the entire season and added, “Though We have come Third place, no regrets, I’m very Happy.”
