Expat Premier League: Chubby Alonsos power to U-18 title

Chubby Alonsos powered their way to the Expat Premier league U-18 title after a solid 2-0 win over United F.C in the finals on Sunday, 10th May 2015. After eight long weeks, the Expat Premier League finally reached its conclusion at the Ascend International School campus in Bandra.

Chubby Alonsos made a quick start to proceedings making it tough for United F.C to cope with the constant Chubby Alonsos’ pressure. The pressure finally gave when Krish Sharma struck the opening goal for Chubby Alonsos early in the first half.

United resisted the Alonsos and stemmed the flow of their attacks as the half progressed, but couldn’t forge an attack of any note which would have brought them back on level terms before half time.

The second half had a similar pattern as the first half with Alonsos’ first half lead proving to be decisive. But eventually Chubby Alonsos sealed the victory with a strike from Punit Chawla late in the second half which secured the championship for them.
