Classy Kenkre crush relegated Companeroes

Kenkre continued their good run of form in the Elite Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) with a 4-0 win over relegated Companeroes in the early morning kick-off on Monday, 25th May 2015.

The win stretched Kenkre FC’s unbeaten run in the competition to four games out of which Joshua Lewis’ men have won three and drawn one.

Companeroes whose relegation was confirmed quite a long time ago, found themselves behind early in the game once again when Rahul Yeole put Kenkre FC in the lead in the 9th minute.

After letting a lead slip against Union Bank couple of days ago, Kenkre ensured that history didn’t repeat itself and instead doubled their lead through Shaun Fernandes in the 37th minute.

Companeroes had little joy against the in-form Kenkre side which carried it’s two goal lead into half time.

Little changed in the second half as Kenkre remained in the ascendancy and soon made the result beyond Companeroes when Kamran Siddhique fired a third goal for Kenkre.

Despite having the points in the bag and having played five games in the last ten days, Kenkre didn’t drop the intensity and went on to score a fourth goal through Manash Sarkar in the 67th minute.

Companeroes who were left totally deflated by their menacing opponents showed little signs of a fightback as the morning’s play ended with a formidable 4-0 success for Kenkre FC as they slowly moved up to the 9th place in the table with 16 points in the bag.
