Maharashtra Oranje FC secures commanding 3-0 win, climbs to 2nd Position in I League 2

Maharashtra Oranje FC

In a masterful display of total domination and exquisite gameplay, Maharashtra Oranje FC clinched their first win of the season, propelling them to the 2nd position in the league table after the third round of I League 2.

Oranje striker Sanchit Singh showcased his prowess with a first-half brace, elevating him to the top of the leader board. While Aashish Lalge added the thrid goal in the second half to round off the game with a clinical 3-0 win.

The opening goal unfolded through a brilliantly ball from Surendra Singh. After an Oranje corner was cleared away by Sudeva’s defense, Singh seized the opportunity around the halfway line. Delivering a precise ball over the Sudeva defense to find Sanchit who was onside, the latter turned with finesse, firing a shot into the bottom left corner to break the deadlock.

Six minutes later, Sanchit struck again, doubling Oranje’s lead in a remarkable team effort involving seven players. Initiated by Skipper Manish Siddha and experienced Nitesh Monde, a mesmerizing sequence of passing saw Advait drive forward, laying it wide for Sahil Bhokare. Bhokare’s pace outplayed his marker, and a perfectly cut-back pass found an alert Sanchit, who calmly finished past the keeper.

Moments later, another attack from the left saw, Surendra and Sahil combine to find Rinaldo at the edge of the box but the latter’s first time shot went just wide off the target.

The second half saw Oranje maintaining control, with Aashish Lalge extending the lead to 3-0 around the hour mark after a setup by Rinaldo. Despite relentless attacks, Oranje couldn’t add more goals.

In the dying moments of the match, a skillful move orchestrated by Aashish Lalge and Surendra almost secured another goal, but Sudeva’s Simranjeet Singh made a timely goal-line clearance to keep the score line at 3-0.

Oranje concluded the match with a resounding 3-0 victory, accumulating 4 points in 3 games and securing the 2nd spot in the league table.
