Income Tax held to a goalless draw by PIFA Colaba

A profligate Income tax played out a 0-0 draw against PIFA Colaba on Tuesday in the second game of MFA Harwood Champions League

In a complete contrast to the opening game of the competition, Income Tax and PIFA Colaba played out a rather physical and cagey ninety minutes of football with neither side managing to break the deadlock. The 0-0 stalemate meant both sides sharing the spoils, walking away with just a point each.

In the second half, IT started to attack more and probe the PIFA defence. Merwin attempted a shot from free-kick position which brought a save from PIFA keeper. Few minutes later another headed opportunity fell straight into the hands of PIFA Goalie.

At the other end, PIFA had their chance too when a cross from Happy (Amrender) was headed straight to keeper’s hand by Aimar. Moments later, Rohit Mirza sent in a dangerous cross which was headed just wide by Ritesh Perambra as the score remained 0-0.

In the final moments of the game, another chance came for Income Tax when Merwin found himself in spaces however the striker’s shot went just wide as the game ended with both sides taking home a point each.
