MSP hold Western Railway; ESIC lose to BOI as relegation battle intensifies

In an interesting round of games, Western Railway and MSP shared a point each while ESIC lose to Bank of India 1-4 as the relegation battle intensifies
The first chance of the game fell to Western Railway when Ronaldo’s ball over the MSP defense was latched on by Kenistan, however the striker miscued his chance as the score remained goalless.
However, at the other end, Amar Divate broke the deadlock as his strike beat the keeper to find the back of the net as MSP took the lead. Around the half hour mark, WR made their comeback when a flat cross from Anil was guided towards the goal by a smart touch from Mervin as the score went level.
MSP had another chance to retake the lead when minutes beofer half time break, MSP earned a free-kick however they couldn’t convert hte chance as both sides entered the break at 1-1. In the second half, Western Railways earned a freekick however it was well blocked by MSP defense before initaliting a brilliant counter attack, however the final finish eluded them as was well saved by Railway keeper to keep them in the game.
Fiftenn minutes before full time, MSP were down to 10-men after Akshay Shinde was given the marching orders for a poor foul on Railway’s Mervin. In the final moments of the game, MSP defense stood strong to withstand WR attack as the game ended 1-1.

In another bottom of the group game, ESIC faced off against Bank of India with the latter producing a convincing 4-1 win.
Keval Pagdhare opened the scoring in the nineth minute of the game before doubling the lead around the half hourmark. ESIC pulled one back when Egypsio Noronha’s strike beat the BOI keeper. However, Jagdesh struck third goal 6 minutes later to restore the two goal in lead.
Keval converted his hattrick in the second half as BOI completed a comprehensive 4-1 rout of ESIC.
