Players Turf to host the Players Cup on 26 and 27 February

Players Turf, in association with FootballGeek, is all set to host the Players Cup, a league-cum-knockout tournament that will begin on February 26 and end on February 27, 2022.

PlayersTurf, the organizers, are India’s leading sports entertainment platform for venues, academies, and individuals. Their mission is to make it easier for everyone to play the game by increasing access to the facilities.

FootballGeek who will manage this tournament has expertise in managing more than 40 tournaments in different locations in Mumbai over the last three years. They have also hosted many tournaments in Navi Mumbai, Thane, Andheri, and Malad. Their objective behind organizing these tournaments is to contribute to the growth of football and make it a desirable career option for budding footballers. FootballGeek provides a platform for young footballers to showcase their talent. More than 640 clubs have participated in these tournaments since 2018. There are also the 4800 players who have participated in these tournaments.

The Players Cup will be played on artificial turf. This is a 6-a-side tournament where 4 substitutions will be allowed. The tournament will have 6 age group categories from Under-8 to Under-19 and there will be eight teams in each category. The tournament will ensure at least 3 matches per team.

The tournament will commence on the last weekend of this month at Players Turf, SV Road, Udyog Nagar, Goregaon. The entry fee has been fixed at Rs. 3500 per team.
