India Rush SC Talent Showcase, opening the world of opportunity

The selected footballers from the Talent Scouting event will then travel to Spain where they will be offered free training and exposure
The football season in India is on the roll. There has been back to back football at the National level, I league Qualifiers, Santosh Trophy, Senior Women’s National, ISL and now I league. This good news for the aspiring players, as it brings in more opportunity for the players make their mark at the professional level.
While football has commenced for the senior level, it is yet to take off for the youth. The Talent Showcase a talent scouting event aims to give players with potential the chance to be seen by professional football scouts.
India Rush SC started the talent ID in 2012, with an aim to provide a complete pathway for the promising players to make it to India team by 2017, which was achieved in 2015. Ridge D’Mello made it to the India U16 team and is now a professional player for a I league team. Over the years India Rush SC scholarship has empowered many players with training and opportunity of exposure at India and International level.
For the season 2021/22, India Rush SC (IRSC) has a strategic tie up with India Khelo Football (IKF), a Mumbai-based non-profit organization, which scouts young talent across India and provides them a platform to showcase their talent at the international level. The best players from the City round will be selected for the IKF Zonal Round. The Zonal round is planned to be held in Jan’22 followed by the IKF National round to be held in February’22.
The Scouting for the City and Zonal round will be done by scouts from PSFA. After the finale, the top kids, handpicked by the international scouts, will then travel to Spain to begin their professional football journey. The schedule of the Zonal and Final round are subject to change based on the Covid-19 pandemic related ruled and regulation issued by the authorities.
The Mumbai City round Talent Showcase Tournament will be held on 30th Jan’21 at the Wings Arena, Bandra. Players can participate as an individual or as a team. The last date for the registration is 29th Dec’21.
