Malvani FC overcome Shastri Nagar to enter Semi Finals
Malvani S.C beat Shastri Nagar 2-0 in the 3rd division match of M.D.F.A. (Mumbai District Football Association) at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on 29 May 2015.
Shastri Nagar who were dominating the game soon lost control over the game and had to submit themselves without any goal.
Even though Shastri Nagar were dominating it was Malvani S.C who got majority of chances to score.
The first goal of the match was scored by Malvani S.C’s Carlton M in the 3rd minute from a free kick.
Carlton M. controlled the ball and smashed it on the left corner to give Malwani S.C a lead against the run of play.

Shashtri nagar made an attempt to score from a free kick but they failed to organize themselves.
In the 23rd minute Shashtri S.C Nirmal Bakre cleared the danger by shooting the ball outside the field when Malvani S.C’s Haxi D’Souza’s shot rebounded after touching the left goalpost.

In the 37th minute Shashtri Nagar’s Monty tried to shot towards the goal from 6 yards but he failed to score adding to their agony.
The Shastri Nagar players lost their discipline as time was running out for them, but the referee did well to control the game.
In the 44th minute Shashtri Nagar’s Neerav blocked Haxi D’Souza’s shot. Neerav’s responsiveness was useful in preventing another goal for Malvani S.C.
