In the first Elite division encounter of the day, Air India faced off against defending champions Mumbai Customs at Cooperage stadium, Mumbai.

After an even first half where both sides had their chances it was Mumbai Customs who broke the deadlock when in the 52nd minute, a poor back pass from Air India defender was quickly capitalized upon by an alert Custom’s Marc, who made no mistake in beat Air India Goalie Paul to send his side on the lead. However, the joy was short lived as Air India made an immediate comeback.
