MDFA: Karnataka Sporting Association win comfortably
Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) had things completely under control and scored once in each half to blank Salcette FC 2-0 in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Friday. Striker Deepak Pal struck both the goals for the Karnatak team
The KSA outfit grabbed the initiative with an early goal when Pal found the net with a crisp shot from outside the box at the seventh minute. KSA continued to hold sway and Pal completed his brace by scoring from a one-on-one situation in the 58th minute to complete KSA’s victory.
Earlier, Atlanta FA blanked D’Souza Football Association 3-0 in a second-round match of the Mohammed Hussain Memorial knockout football tournament for Super Division clubs. Dominating play from the start Atlanta FA scored through a brace of goals from Nitin Kumar and one from Tanmay Talgaokar to clinch their win.
In another match, United Villagers Welfare Association got the better of Colaba FA by a 2-0 margin. Brijal Porra and Melborn Patil netted a goal each for the winning team.
