In the lone match of Day 8 of MDFA Nadkarni Cup encounter saw Air India take on Millat FC. The game began with the former elite division champions taking control of tempo from early on. Air India asserted their dominance early in the game, playing some slick passing and making decisive movements in the opponents half. However, Millat GK stood tall to deny any chances.

We won but we still could have done better. Once we get into our regular rhythm and know each other well. So far we had just 3-4 practices together, we are playing only to 40% of our capability and I am sure with more matches and practices together we would win better.
Siddhu (Anuraj Singh) come back to squad has brought in more confidence to the teammates. We his guidance and leadership skill has helped the young players in the team.

– Dion Menezes

Result – Nadkarni Cup:

Air India (Sumesh Nair 40’, Johnson D’silva 70’) 2 – 0 Millat FC
