MDFA roundup: SVKM Football Club, Don Bosco Oratory pick big win

Mumbai, August 11: SVKM Football Club rode on the fine hat-trick from Siddhant Jangam to record a convincing 8-0 victory against Freunds FC

Mumbai, August 11: SVKM Football Club rode on the fine hat-trick from Siddhant Jangam to record a convincing 8-0 victory against Freunds FC in a Third Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.

Besides Jangam’s superb efforts his teammates Aditya Shetty, Deepak Singh, Kunal Waghela and Parth Chaudhary all chipped in with a goal each to round off the winning tally. In other matches, Jolly Boys and CSGM Sports Club shared honours in a 2-2 draw, while Don Bosco Oratory blanked St. Rocks’ (Brillian FC) 7-0.

A four-goal blitz from striker Omkar Sawant inspired IDBI Bank to record a big 7-4 win against Jupiter SC in a high-scoring First Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Sunday.

Sawant’s teammates Ashwin Menon, Shubham Mangde and Kalpesh Wagh contributed with a goal each to secure their win. Jupiter SC scored through Ashishkumar Dantala’s doubles strikes and one each from Krishna Bharalli and Pratik Panchal.

Third Div: 

Young Boys 4 (Adnan Khan 2, Ammar Sayed, Faroqui Amin) beat Buddha Vihar Seva Samiti 0.

Ruffians SC 2 (Waqaas Khan, Asif Gayatar) beat Holy Magi Church 0.

SVKM Football Club 8 (Siddhant Jangam 3, Aditya Shetty, Deepak Singh, Kunal Waghela, Parth Chaudhary) beat Freunds FC 0.

Jolly Boys FC 2 (Saurabh Mishra, Siddhant Zalte) drew with CSGM SC 2 (Shree Sawant, Mahesh Bhadekar).

Don Bosco Oratory 7 (Shiva Devendra 2, Alok Maurya 2, Walter Swamy, Sanjay Singh Rahul Shirke) beat St. Rock’s (Brillian FC) 0.


Ansari strikes two in Sterling Das FA’s win,

Mumbai, August 10: Mohad Ansari’s twin striker helped Sterling Das FA romp to a 3-1 win against Miners SC ‘A’ in a First Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Saturday. Justin Sequeira got the third goal for the victors while Miners scored through Tejas Ghule.

Millat FC recorded an identical 3-1 win against Soccer A-Z in another match of the same division. Ovais Ishke, Mishal Kureshi and Aburazeen Patel, all struck one goal each for Millat, while Anil Peddamalli netted Soccer A-Z lone goal.

Results:

First Div: Millat FC 3 (Ovais Ishke, Mishal Kureshi, Aburazeen Patel) beat Soccer A-Z 1 (Anil Peddamalli).

Kenkre FC Under-19 1 (OG-Soheb Ali) drew with Das Football Academy 1 (Daniel Fernandes).

Sterling Das FA 3 (Mohd Ansari 2, Justin Sequeira) beat Miners SC 1 (Tejas Ghule).

Third Div: India On Track 3 (Tanish Bedi 2, Joyson Chettiar) beat Footie First SC 0.

BARC Sports Club 1 (Dhananjay Patil) drew with P.D. Hinduja Sports Club 1 (Deepak Dewakaran).
