Romit Anand inspires Jupiter F.C to a comeback win over Football Leaders Academy

With only few matches left in group stages of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association), inform Jupiter FC defeated Football Leaders Academy 2-1 to strengthen their place. Romit Anand brace helped Jupiter FC to overcome Football Leaders who were leading just inside 2 minutes when Ravinder scored from rebound.
Earlier in the first half, Foobtall Leader’s attacker Dwayne Vaz fancied a shot from distance which was initially saved by Jupiter FC goalkeeper but striker Ravinder with his sharp awareness scored after easily beating the goalkeeper from couple of yards, giving Football Leaders a vital lead over Jupiter FC inside just 2 minutes.
A minute later, Jupiter FC’s midfielder Kunal Sonawane tried to beat Football Leader’s goalkeeper Chandan Rathod from distance but his shot was just wide. Both the teams defended well and successfully kept the ball out of bay. Football Leader’s Milton Mastan tried his luck from outside the box but his shot was easily saved by the goalkeeper.
With the typical Mumbai’s heat and humidity, it proved to be a tiring day for both the teams but with play-offs at the bay both the set of players had enough energy to show their passion towards the beautiful game.
25 minutes into the game, a long ball by Kunal Sonawane found Romit Anand who went past the Football Leader’s goalkeeper Chandan Rathod and easily finished with his right foot to make the score even. Though, Romit was booked for his hilarious celebration as he ran with jersey over his head.
Into the second half, a huge error by Football Leader’s goalkeeper Chandan Rathod made the score 2-1 in favour of Jupiter FC as he failed to clear a long ball from Yamik Holkar, which eventually found Romit, yet again, in front of an empty goal which he comfortably finished and secured his brace.
With minute’s remaining, Football Leaders missed a golden opportunity when Rajesh Chandra’s shot hit the post and fell into his teammate Ravinder, who failed to capitalize an important goal leaving the score line 2-1 in favour of Jupiter FC.
