The Sports Gurukul (TSG), a renowned sporting organization whose principle motto is to promote and develop various sports at the grassroots level, will conduct a free talent hunt program to select youngsters to be trained under qualified coaches in football and basketball.

The football program will be conducted under the guidance of (from left to right) Eric Benny, Sabastian Rass and Mito Borang.

Children between the ages of 5 to 16 year can attend the talent hunt programs, which would be held at six locations in the city from July 28 to August 5, 2018.

TSG Football School has recently signed up with the Eric Benny Sports Management (EBSM), Deutches Football Internat (DFI), Germany and scouting partner FC Metz, France. The three partners will provide a pathway for aspiring footballers to be trained in similar fashion as the European academies and clubs.

Meanwhile, the TSG Basketball School is a new initiative for potential basketball players, who would be trained according to the international basketball programs and curriculum. To ensure the selected players get the best training, TSG has joined hands with Core Focus Training (CFT), USA one of the most prominent organizations in basketball player development that trains players and teams all over the world.

Paresh Kothari, co-founder of The Sports Gurukul said, “Football and basketball are the most popular sports played by our children. That is the reason why we have decided to be associated with some leading football and basketball organizations. TSG always believes that for the development of sports it is important to provide the best possible training methods for the children right from the grassroots level.”

The talent hunt for football will be held at Six centres: The All India Balkan-ji-Bari, Santacruz; Jankidevi Public School, Andheri; Urban Sports Five Garden, Matunga; St. Stanislaus HS, Bandra; Cooperage ground, Colaba; Terna Sports Institute, Nerul.

The All India Balkan-ji-Bari, Santacruz and St. Stanislaus HS, Bandra will be the two venues for basketball. “With certified coaches and involvement of international coaches in the program, the TSG Football & Basketball Schools will have plenty to offer for the children,” Kothari added.
