FC Regal launch 2018/19 kit; to play in MDFA 3rd Division

With some of the renowned football players from Mumbai present at the helm, Regal Sports Association’s President Nitesh Thakur launched FC Regal’s kit at Pot Pouri Restaurant & Bar for the upcoming 2018/19 season of MDFA. The club backed by Sellebrity FC will be plying their trade in the Third Division of Mumbai Football.

Regal Sports Association’s President Nitesh Thakur, a Germany fan, who is also an assistant manager in MNC Company EduPristine gave a brief speech where he expressed his passion towards the beautiful game and involvement in football from his childhood days.

The journey started five years ago with a dream of becoming a professional football club. RSA’s President also cited that the main objective will be to promote young players in a hope to see them represent the National side one day. More importantly, the club will move step by step and the current objective is to qualify for the Second Division.

During the unveiling of the jersey, former Indian midfielder Steven Dias, I-league Champions Minerva Punjab’s winger Abhishek Ambekar, Kerala Gokulam’s Arif Shaikh, former Maharashtra player Shrikant Veramallu and renowned football personalities including MDFA General Secretary Udayan Banerjee, MDFA Vice-President Sudhakar Rane, former MDFA Vice President Geoffrey Menezes, Ramji Maurya (owner of Maurya Youngstar Sports Club), Ajit Sawant, Thane District’s Coach Rohan Shinde, Nandkumar Thakur, Nilesh Thakur, Bruno Fernandes – President of Renaissance and Sellebrity’s Ryan Menezes and Stephen Menezes.
