Arsenal set to sign FC Barcelona wonderkid
He is a La Masia Academy product
English Football behemoths, Arsenal have secured the services of 16-year-old La Masia Academy product Joel Lopez. He rejected FC Barcelona’s offers for a contract extension and decided to join the North London Club.
Joel Lopez has been at FC Barcelona and La Masia since the age of seven and has improved on a tremendous scale. Reports from the European media’s suggest he has already told FC Barcelona chiefs that he will this summer to Arsenal.
Joel Lopez is a left-back and has been a bright prospect. He is regarded as the next big thing from La Masia. Reports also suggest that Arsenal’s Head of Recruitment, Raul Sanlehhi, who left FC Barcelona for the Gunners at the start of 2018, has played a key part in bringing Joel Lopez on board.
Since Lopez is just 16 and has already rejected FC Barcelona’s contract extension offer, Arsenal will not have to pay any transfer fees in order to add him to their roster.
Arsenal are also close to signing Paris Sent Germain youngster, Yacine Adli, who is also a bright prospect. Arsenal are also looking for experienced and capable players who would succeed in the English soil.
