Enock scores four times as ONGC wins 7-2

4th March 2018, Mumbai: ONGC (Oil & Natural Gas Corporation) registered a mammoth 7-2 win against struggling side Century Rayon to go top of Elite Division table at Cooperage Stadium, leapfrogging Air India who has a game in hand. Prolific and Experienced striker Enock Annan scored a whopping four goals which included a fifteen-minute hat-trick.

ONGC came into the match on the back of four consecutive victories, whereas, Century Rayon suffered a disappointing 4-2 loss at the hands of MS (Maharashtra State) Police a couple of days ago at Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri.

An astounding five goals were scored in the first sixteen minutes of this crazy encounter. After a steady start, ONGC opened the scoring through Enock Annan’s strike in the fourth minute before he himself doubled ONGC’s lead in the 11th minutes with a wonderful strike.

Just two minutes after Enock’s second goal, Naresh scored a sublime goal past Century Rayon’s goalkeeper to make it 3-0 in favour of ONGC. Things started to collapse on the newly-promoted side Century Rayon as they conceded once again in the 15th minute when Enock Annan completed his hat-trick, the fastest hat-trick of the MDFA season 2017-18.

Rayon’s star player Kashung Warschupei pulled two goals back in the 16th and 34th minute respectively but it was merely consolation goals. At the break, ONGC was leading 4-2. Rayon’s defence was blown away by the clinical attack of ONGC which was spearheaded by Enock.

Four minutes into the second-half, Enock added ONGC’s fifth and his fourth goal of the game after netting a sensational goal. Eight minutes later, Dhiraj Meher scored ONGC’s sixth and Lapcha made it 7-2 in the 83rd minute to complete a mammoth triumph against Rayon.
