Sea View sink Kenkre U16 to win 3-0

MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association)

Mumbai: Sea View SC beat Kenkre U16 by 3-0 in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), First Division match held at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on Saturday, March 25th, 2017.

Sea View and Kenkre FC U16 played the final match of Saturday under the floodlights. The game was pretty much a one-sided affair at times, sometimes an edge of the seat affair. But it was the Sea View side that was the more compact of the two.

Teja Bhagayatkar opened the scoring for Sea View in the 26th minute. As Kenkre FC U16 was trying to pick themselves up for one goal down, Tushar Kamani doubled the lead for Sea View in the 27th minute. Just when the two-goal lead looked on the verge of being halved, Tushar added a third and his second of the night which a wonderful strike. At halftime, Sea View leads 3-0.

The second half was more about salvaging pride for Kenkre FC U16 who were on the attack from the get-go. But Sea View keeper was in no mood to let his clean sheet slip by and complemented well by the defence. The match ended 3-0 to Sea View SC.
