21st Feb, 2018 – A total of 5 second division matches took place on Monday and Tuesday in St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel, Mumbai. 2nd Division, Group A – Dadar XI (B) (Chris 4’, Fazlur 46’) 2-0 T.P.S (Grey Athletic)
In the 2nd division group A fixture Dadar XI clashed with T.P.S (Grey Athletic). It was the battle between experience of Dadar XI and young pace of T.P.S in which Dadar XI came out with flying colours.
They struck as soon as in the 4th minute after which T.P.S couldn’t recover as Chris Alphonso scored in with a solo effort. The first half was evenly contested with a slight tinge of dominance hovering with Dadar XI as T.P.S tried to fight back.
Mohsin Aga and Shadab Ansari tried to build up several attacking movement but everything was undone due to stout defending from Dadar XI backline. The best chance for TPS fell their way in the second half when Shadab was brought down just at the top of the box. His powerful freekick, aimed at right bottom corner was saved handsomely by the Dadar Custodian.
The second half completely belonged to Dadar XI as they didn’t let TPS bounce back in any means. The second goal by Fazlur Rahman was simply the best goal of the day as he took a breezy run from left after getting the ball from heavily experienced Revelino Fernandez and blasted a volley into left top corner from edge of the box.
Even after the second goal Dadar XI continued to pile pressure on TPS defense and never let them back in the game.
This game marked the second victory for Dadar XI in 6 matches as they leapfrogged to the 4th position with 9 points while TPS sunk to seventh position after suffering 5th defeat in 8 matches.

The final nail in the coffin was dealt by Md. Ali Rajani when he pushed in the third goal for O’Sheish and the last goal of the match to round up the clash. 2nd Division, Group G:
Bombay YMCA (Adnan 4’, Rahil 35’, 66’, Sajid 50’,Kazim 69’) 5-2 Freunds SA (Rahul 11’,18’)
It was an exciting affair when Bombay YMCA blanked Freunds SA 5-2 which was a rather ill-tempered match with referee having to use cards more often.
Adnan Ansari scored the first goal of the match as early as in the 4th minute after which a stunning brace by Rahul Bhatt saw Freunds SA coming back strongly, first in 11th minute and then again in 18th minute . Freunds SA went into the half-time with a 2-1 lead after which the whole match turned in the second half. Bombay YMCA came back strongly to fire in 4 goals with Rahil Ansari striking twice assisted by one a piece goal by Sajid and Karim to register their 5th win in 6 matches to be placed at second position behind Castle Boys.
