The first day of the Maharashtra Inter-district Championship for Sub-Junior boys kicked off in Nanded at the Nanded District Football Association Ground.

Day 1 saw three matches held at the NDFA Ground which saw Osmanabad, Kolhapur, Jalgaon, Buldhana, Bhandara and Parbhani clash. Another match had been scheduled between Satara and Nandurbar but the Satara team was disqualified due to document issues and Nandurbar were given the bye.

The day’s action began with Kolhapur DFA taking on Osmanabad DFA which was a highly one-sided affair. Kolhapur put six past Osmanabad as they ran riot on their opponents. An interesting fact was that Kolhapur had six different goalscorers.

Jalgaon took an early lead in the third minute with a strike by Vedant Dhande. They tripled their advantage within ten minutes as they were 3-0 up. The second saw four goals conceded within a space of three minutes as Sheik Kaif, Altamash Khan, and Vedant Dhande completed their braces.
