Ball Pump Youth ease past Baba Boys

Ball Pump Youth defeated Baba Boys by 2-0 in the 3rd division match of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) at St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on 9th April 2015.
The first 5 minutes of the game were dull as none of the teams got a chance to score and instead the ball was being passed from one player to another.
In the 7th minute Baba Boys’ left winger’s shot was directed towards the target but goalkeeper’s vigilance saved the ball from entering into the goal.
Five minutes later came moment of joy for the Ball Pump Youth when Arfat Ansari scored the first goal for his team in the 11th minute. Arfat got a pass and he tapped it in from close range.
Ball Pump Youth’s Arfat Ansari carried the ball from midfield towards the goal in the 14th minute as he had enough space to move the ball and shoot, but his shot curled wide of the target.
In the 17th minute Baba Boys got a throw-in and Vimal Panitkar shot in the direction of the target. His shot did not reach the target as goalkeeper collected the ball.
In the next minute Ball Pump Youth’s Amit Dube got a yellow card as he pushed the player of the opponent team in order to control the ball.
In the 20th minute Baba Boys got a free kick from the midfield. The striker gave flight to the ball and it rebounded after it hit the right goalpost.
At the end of first half Ball Pump Youths were leading by 1-0. Baba Boys failed to get a foothold in the game and were trying their best to turn every chance into a goal.
In the 29th minute Baba Boys’ Prayag Takay gave a cross to Vimal Panitkar. Vimal P. shot with great intensity and it went over the cross bar..
Ball Pump Youth’s Swastik Vishwakaram’s shot found it’s way to the goal. In the 39th minute fired home from close range . The goalkeeper in an attempt to make a save came forward to collect the ball and Swastik V. shot on the target. The second goal if the day was Ball pump Youth which kept them in lead.
In the last few minutes Baba Boys made many attempts to score but they failed as the goalkeeper provided good shielding.
In the last minute Arfat Ansari got a good pass as he attempted to shoot. His efforts were not rewarded as his shot went few feet over the cross bar.
In the end, Ball Pump Youth won the game due to their teamwork and good communication with each other.
