Bombay FC in MDFA U16 Youth League semis
2nd February 2018, Mumbai: In the ongoing MDFA – Mumbai District Football Association U-16 Youth League, Bombay FC has booked their place in the last four where they will face the winner of Indian Football Academy (IFA) and CSL (Colaba Sports League) who are set to clash later today at YMCA Ground.
The second semi-final is already decided as Hedgewar Boys will encounter Goans Sports Association on Sunday evening at YMCA Ground, Byculla. Below are the reports of Bombay FC vs Milan FA and IFS (Quarters) vs Ummat-E-Milan (Pre-Quarters):
Pre-Quarters: Indian Football Academy (IFA) 0-0 Ummat-E-Milan (IFA won 5-4 via penalties)
In a closely-contested encounter, Indian Football Academy held their nerves to edge past Ummat-E-Milan 5-4 in penalties after both the outfits failed to score in the normal time at YMCA Ground on Thursday evening.
Sahil Kaushal, Pushpak Saini, Abhishek Patil, Ayush Pujari and Shlok Pabale successfully converted their penalties from the spot for IFA which helped them to clinch a quarter-final spot against CSL.
Quarter-Final: Bombay FC (Irfan Shaikh 6′ and Firoz Shah 27′) 2-0 Milan FA
Bombay FC comprehensively booked their berth in the last four after registering a narrow 2-0 win over Milan FA on Thursday evening at YMCA Ground.
Irfan Shaikh opened the scoring in the 6th minute which was later doubled by Firoz Shah’s strike in the 27th minute which was enough to end Milan FA’s brilliant run in the MDFA U-16 Youth League.
