Twinkle Star, Bombay Gymkhana and Palkaya FC cruises to victory
24th January 2018, Mumbai: On Wednesday, the ongoing MDFA Youth League saw a total of four games at YMCA Ground. Twinkle Star, Palkaya FC and Bombay Gymkhana notched up a fine win while Bombay YMCA and Oscar SSE only managed to draw.
Twinkle Star (Sahil Maske 18′ and Ishwar Iyer Own Goal 30′) 1-4 Youth Soccer Academy (Tushar Devadiga 28′ & 37′ and Altamash 35′)
A superb display by Youth Soccer Academy’s forwards was the highlight of the match as they registered an impressive 4-1 win over Twinkle Star.
Tushar Devadiga scored twice and Altamash scored the other goal. Out of the four goals, one was an unfortunate own-goal by Ishwar Iyer. Meanwhile, for Twinkle Star, Sahil Maske scored the lone goal in the 18th minute.
Palkaya FC (Imran Shaikh 1′, Akash Yadav 32′ & 53′ and Sudarsh Kamble 30′) 5-1 Classic FC (Yakub Khan 25+1 and Sameer Ansari Own Goal 5′)
Just like Youth Soccer Academy, the boys up front did the job for Palkaya FC. An energetic Classic FC was left inferior in front of a spirited Palkaya FC side.
Imran Shaikh’s first-minute strike was followed by Sudarsh Kamble’s solitary goal and Akash Yadav’s twin strikes. Yakub Khan scored one for Classic FC which only turned out to be a consolation goal.
