Holy Cross United record a 5-0 win in 3rd Division
8th January 2018, Mumbai: Holy Cross United made it five wins in seven games after recording a thumping 5-0 win over Ummat-A-Milan FA in Group D encounter at St. Xavier’s Ground (Parel) on Sunday afternoon. With this win, Holy Cross is sitting comfortably at the top of Group D with 17 points in 7 games while Ummat-A-Milan FA is second from the bottom with only four points.
Holy Cross United made a great start when Keith Fernandes scored in the 5th minute with a sublime finish past Ummat-A-Milan’s goalkeeper. Right from the kick-off, it was quite evident that Holy Cross won’t settle for a low margin score. Their attack was way too superior to their counterparts.
After Keith’s opening goal, Holy Cross scored four quick goals within the space of twelve minutes. Albert Gogai doubled the lead in the 10th minute which was followed by Lara Gonsalves’ strike a minute later. Gogai scored his second in the 20th minute before Lara once again got on the scoresheet to bag Holy Cross’ fifth and final goal.
