MDFA U-16 Youth League Round-up

3rd January 2018, Mumbai: The recent initiative of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association), The Youth League, have garnered a positive response. The matches which are held at YMCA Ground has seen some of the exciting youth games between the aspiring young footballers so far. Let’s take a look at some of the results from the U-16 Youth League:

30th December 2017

Group F – Companeroes SC 0-8 FSI (Kasban Siddique 1′ & 18′, Bhupati Chandra 6′ & 25′, Varad Rajpai 41′, Aman Dubey 15′ & 49′ and Karan Prajapati 47′)

In what proved to be a scintillating performance, Football School of India (FSI) romped to a fantastic 8-0 victory over Companeroes SC in a Group F encounter. Right from the kick-off, FSI went all-out attack. Kasban Siddique opened the scoring in the 1st minute itself before Bhupati Chandra and Aman Dubey scored two quick goals to increase the lead to three goals.

Bhupati, Kasban and Aman Dubey added a goal each later in the match which was rounded off by Varad Rajpai and Karan Prajapati’s sublime goal which completed a fine 8-0 win over their counterpart.

Group E – Indian Football Academy (Shlok Pabale 14′, Sahil 35′ & 49′, Ayush Pujari 43′, Harsh Daya 50′) 5-0 Khiladi Connect

Just like FSI, Indian Football Academy (IFA) displayed a dominant performance to breeze past Khiladi Connect 5-0 at YMCA Ground. IFA’s attacking united proved way too superior for Khiladi Connect as they struggled to break down the play.

Shlok Pabale opened the scoring in the 14th minute, followed by Sahil’s prolific brace before Ayush Pujari and Harsh Daya scored one each to put the match to bed in a comfortable win.

2nd January 2018

Group B – Classic Sports Club 0-3 ICL (Tanay Shah 15′, Amol Jadhav 31′ & 43′)

On Tuesday at the YMCA Ground, Amol Jadhav’s brilliant finishing helped ICL to register a comprehensive 3-0 victory against Classic Sports Club in a Group B clash.

Tanay Shah broke the deadlock for ICL in the 15th minute before Amol Jadhav bagged a quick brace to seal the match on a high note. Classic Sports Club did have their chances in front of goal but poor finishing cost them the match.

Group A – Bombay YMCA (Hasnain Durani 11′, Armash Ansari 28′ and Owais Ansari 38′) 3-2 Creek View FC (Shreyansh Dubey 6′ and Judah D’Souza 43′)

In a Group A encounter, a five-goal thriller was followed on Tuesday when home side Bombay YMCA registered a narrow 3-2 win over Creek View FC at YMCA Ground.

Shreyansh Dubey got off the mark in the 6th minute for Creek View when he scored a stunning goal. Hasnain Durani levelled the score in the 11th minute before Armash Ansari gave Bombay YMCA a vital 2-1 lead in the 28th minute. Owais Ansari scored YMCA’s third of the match before Judah D’Souza cut short the deficit in the 43rd minute.

Judah’s strike proved too late as Bombay YMCA held their solitary lead to complete a memorable victory against an energetic Creek View side.
