Kerala Blasters vs Jamshedpur FC Players rating: How the players fared
Kerala Blasters FC and Jamshedpur FC both played their second successive goalless draw of Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Friday. Blasters’ keeper Paul Rachubka came up with two heroic moments in the match to ensure Jamshedpur’s search for a first Hero ISL win continues.
Let’s take a look at how the players were fared.
Kerala Blasters
Paul Rachubka – 9
The English keeper had an incredible match for the hosts. He stood strong in denying the JFC attacks, and he was not seen floundering throughout the match, and was one of the standout performers of the night, as he saved 4 out of the four faced.
Sandesh Jhingan – 9
Akin to that of Rachubka, Sandesh also had an incredible day at the office. The skipper had time to employ some crunching tackle’s on his opponents, and he had won almost all the aerial dual’s he had involved. He kept the presence of Belfort and Azuka unnoticed, and has equal credit as does Paul have for this hard fought draw.
Nemanja Lakic Pesic – 7
Pesic was the perfect partner Sandesh had in the defense. Identical to that of Sandesh, Nemanja ran the show, performing fine interceptions, and his alarming presence had an instrumental role in keeping the JFC attacks’ at it’s bay.
Rino Anto – 7
Contrary to that of his previous match, Rino Anto had a decent game for the tuskers tonight. He was rock solid in the right wing, and he had found time to go to the attack, to support the team. The presence of Belfort in his flank was a real test for him, but he had employed the experiences he have to surpass the situation.
Lalruatthara – 8
One of the standout performers of the day, young Lalruatthara was integral for Kerala Blasters in the left flank, as he was there to thwart and launch attacks. “Lalruatthara is a right-footed player playing on the left. I like his energy, he never gives up.He is also a young boy who has a lot to learn” was the comment of Rene Muelensteen on his play.
Arata Izumi – 7
Arata Izumi played as a holding midfielder in the game, and his presence, indeed had helped his side take the domination of the match even at the early stages of match.
Courage Pekuson – 7
Courage Pekuson had a decent game for the Yellow Army. He was able to co-ordinate well with his mates, and he was good with his touches.
Jackichand Singh – 7
Jackichand was dynamic throughout the show, and his blistering pace was used as a resort to pierce past the JFC defenders, however, the attempts were not succeeded. He was given his first starting in the fourth edition, and he had been able to perform a play, which will likely rely his spot on the team.
Dimitar Berbatov – 8
Berbatov was one of the best on the pitch for the Yellow Army. He had good touches, and his passes to his co-players were absolutely stunning, and he had an opportunity to open the score for Kerala Blasters, but his half volley was denied by the Subrato Pal.
CK Vineeth – 7
The Finisher had a decent game for his side. He had been active in the game for the hosts, but was unable to drive the game in favor of his side, He missed a golden opportunity, when he was unable to score from Iain Hume’s diagonal ball, heading over the bar.
Iain Hume – 6
Iain Hume was active for his side throughout the game. He was there upfront, and came down into the midfield to reclaim the lost possession’s and his presence could have benefited the Blasters if his supplies were efficiently converted.

Jamshedpur FC
Subrata Paul – 8
Like his counterpart, Subrata had a good day on the field dealing Blasters attack with ease. Although he had less danger at his end, Subrata did well to save Dimitar Berbatov’s half volley at far post
Souvik Ghosh – 7
Stationed at left back position, Souvik dealt well in the defence coming up with six clearance although was less involved in going forward, a good day at the office.
Anas Edathodika -7
Local boy playing for opposite team Anas was good and sturdy at the back until he got injured at hour mark and get replaced. Not something Steve Coppell would have wanted but a forced one nonetheless.
Jose Arroyo – 7
Held fort well with Anas at the back blocking Kerala attack frequently producing as much as 7 clearance and 2 interceptions in the entire game.
Souvik Chakrabarti – 6
Put in a lot of work with runs up and down the flanks every now and then, solid at the back and looked to move upward and sending in crosses for attackers whenever in possession.
Trindade Goncalves – 7
Had a good understanding with Souvik at the right flank putting up a good performance for his time. wasn’t afraid in going for shots while also trying to create chances with crosses.
Emerson Gomes – 7
Another decent performances holding the ball well and going up, but could have done better. Was good with free-kicks having a shot on target.
Mehtab Hossian – 6
The former blaster man had a good duel with Berbatov but was occasionally getting too carried away getting booked on one such occasion.
Kervons Belfort – 7
Another former Blaster almost had a goal for Jamshedpur in the injury time only for a flying Rachubka denying him one. Did well at top, going for shots when opportunity came along looking a threat to Kerala defence.
Jerry Mawhmingthanga – 5
A disappointing day for the youngster, with some below par performances. Had a golden chance to score for his team but a poor touch did him in. Even his corners were not any good and got substituted in the second half with a booking on his head while walking off for a poor challenge.
Izu Azuka – 6
Had just one shot on target for a striker and was expected to do better. didn’t see much of the ball either and was eventually substituted off for Sameehg Doutie for final ten minutes of game.
