Sunil Chhetri
The Indian captain, Sunil Chhetri had incredible debut with the Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League, as the skipper showed a dazzling performance, helping Bengaluru trounce Mumbai City FC in the third match of the league. Chhetri bagged his 50th goal for Bengaluru FC in its debut Indian Super League game. Indeed a real display of a commander, Chhetri was a peril in the flanks, and he let the defenders run for their money throughout the 90 minutes.

Manuel Lanzarote
The hero of FC Goa, Lanzarote dictated the play for FC Goa vs Chennaiyin and helped his side secure a victory, rather a revenge. He was instrumental for FC Goa in the attacking third, and his versatility aided the side to dominate both the attack and midfield. His chipped effort for the second goal just showed how good and important he will be for his team in the coming weeks.

Worst players of the week

Jerry Mawihmingthanga
One of the youngsters to watch out for in the league, former DSK Shivajians star Jerry had an dreadful start for the new entrants Jamshedpur FC. In their first match of the edition, young Jerry was outclassed by the robust NorthEast defenders, and he was unable to make any impact finding out of place.

Everton Santos
A supposed lethal weapon in the arsenal of Mumbai City FC, Everton Santos had a dreadful start for the Mumbai City as his side was completely out-stunned by the buoyant Bengaluru FC. Akin to that of Jerry, Santos also failed to make any presence felt. The fact that Mumbai had just one shot on goal in the entire game says how absent he was. He had a golden opportunity to score for his side vs the new entrants, but made a mess of the opportunity eventually missing it.
