MDFA: Benjamin strikes three in Tarun Sporting’s victory

Benjamin Zolar struck three as Tarun sporting make it two wins in a row in 1st Division while Ashwath Puthran’s hat-trick guides Worli SC to a comprehensive win in 2nd division

1st Division:

In a group C fixture, Tarun Sporting faced IC United in a mid afternoon game. Coming on a back of huge 8-0 win over Kenkre U17, Tarun Sporting continued their dominance with another win against IC united, who were playing their first game of the campaign. Valentino D’silva’s lone strike wasn’t enough as Benjamin Zolar struck thrice to make it 3-1 win for Tarun Sporting.

2nd Division:

In a second division group E fixture, Companeros SC (B) faced Worli sporting club for a battle of top position. Both teams came in to the game on the back of three consecutive victories. Ashwath Puthran’s hat-trick inspired Worli SC to a fourth consecutive wins as the game ended at 4-1. Suresh Suthar struck the lone goal for Companeros SC (B) while alongside Ashwath’s three goals; Prathamesh Sawant struck one for Worli SC. The result sends Worli SC to the top of the group three points clear of second placed Shastri Nagar while Companeros stand at fourth position courtesy on goal difference.

Game 2: Companeros SC (B) 1 (Suresh Suthar) – 4 Worli SC (Prathamaesh Sawant, Ashwath Puthran 3 Goals)

In a group C fixture, We Care played against Jolly Boys with the winner taking the top the group spot. However neither side managed to break the dead lock till the end as the game ended at 0-0 result. The draw takes We Care to eight points in four games and to the top of the group table with FC Mumbaikars A just a point behind with a game in hand.
