KNFC continue dominance with 6-0 win in group J of 3rd division while O’sheish defeated Sanpada FC. In 1st division, Veniza Virar sneak to a 1-0 win

1st Division:

Jayesh Amuthan’s second minute strike turned out to be the winning goal as Veniza Virar FC sneaked past Sahyadri Krida Mandal in a highly physical game that saw cards flying out every now and then. After conceding the early goal, SKM players tried to play a little aggressive in search of winner as a result getting 3 yellow cards in the span of 11 minutes. Early in the second half, Veer and Nilesh from Veniza got booking for fouls as they went for the second goal to make the game safe. However SKM troubles mounted when in the 68th minute, Pragnesh patel who was the first player to be booked in the game, got a second one reducing the team to 10 players for the last part of the game. Despite man advantage, Veniza failed to get another goal as the game ended at 1-0.

3rd division:

In the 3rd division fixture between O’sheish FC and Sanpada FC, the former took all 3 points as the game ended at 2-0. Zaid Meeran struck in the ninth minute before Faizan Shaikh doubled the lead in the second half to complete a comfortable win for O’sheish FC continuing their winning run.

In another game, KNFC faced RCF Youth Council for a group J fixture. KNFC dominance in the group continued as they thrashed hapless RCF 6-0 in a one-sided affair. Himanshu Sonawane came up with a well deserved hat-trick while Zakir scored a brace. Second half substitute Sreeraj scored the final goal to complete the 6-0 routing and cement the top position for the time being.
