MDFA 2nd Division: FC Mumbaikars hammer four past Utkarsh Mandal
TPS edge out Milan FA while FC Mumbaikars thrashed a hapless Utkarsh Mandal 4-0, Friends United and Joshua Generation pick out 1-0 wins
The opening game of day 3 for 2nd division Group A fixture was between TPS and Milan FA (A). After Faizan Ansari opened the scoring in the 16’ minute, Ibrahim Siddiqui doubled the lead six minutes later. Both sides went to the break with TPS leading by 2-0. After the break, Milan FA returned with renewed vigour reducing the deficit immediately through Avneet Singh strike in the 36th minute. However the equaliser eluded Milan FA as the game ended at 2-1.

In the day’s group B fixture, Friends United edged out Fire dragon with a solitary goal being the difference with Ronit Rawat scoring the winner for Friends United.

In the Group C encounter, Utkarsh Mandal faced off against FC Mumbaikars (A). Deepak Waghela’s 12th minute strike opened the flood gates as it was followed by a Sairaj Naidu strike seven minutes later. Firmin D’souza tripled the lead minutes before the break. Aayush Shetty completed the rout in the 50th minute to make it 4-0 as Utkarsh Mandal failed to make a comeback.
Game 3: Utkarsh Mandal 0 – 4 FC Mumbaikars A (Deepak Waghela 12’, Sairaj Naidu 19’, Firmin D’souza 50’)
In the final game, a group D encounter had Hugh Fernandes face off against Joshua Generation. Jibin Joy scored the only goal of the game as Joshua Generation turned out victorious.
