IIT Bombay come from a goal down to win 2-1 while in the other game, despite going a man down, Ummat-A-Milan pulled out a determined performance to beat Koli Boys on Day 30 of MDFA 3rd Division

In the evening encounter of group D of third division of MDFA, Bottom placed Ummat-A-Mila faced off against Koli boys. In an determined performance despite going a man down in the 16th minute of the game, when Saalim Qureshi was sent off for second yellow card of the day, Ummat-A-Milan picked crucial three points courtesy a goal from Ameez Ansari. Although the win hasn’t lifted the team from bottom spot (due to poor goal difference) It has definitely closed down the gaps between the top and bottom placed teams with just three points separating them.

In the next game of the day, IIT Bombay came from a goal down to win against Shree Mavli Mandal. Divine Pullokaran’s 50th minute goal sealing the deal for IIT Bombay (B) who picked their first win in the process. Earlier after a goalless first half, it was Rohan Shinde’s 36th minute strike that put Shree Mavli in front however Hanzi brought the score on level terms three minutes later before Divine’s late winner.

In the last game of the day, Ruffians picked their second win of the campaign to move to the top of the group d table with six points in two games. Goals from Kaustubh and Clarence on either side of the half gave Ruffians a comfortable 2-0 win over Saher FA
